Sr Product Engineer

About the role

Medtronic is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to provide production support engineering for medical devices, resolve specification and yield issues, and drive cost‑effective manufacturing improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Support testing methods, procedures, and troubleshoot device specification and yield problems.
• Perform minor redesigns of devices and masks, analyze customer returns, and manage supplier‑related engineering changes.
• Optimize device production relative to cost constraints and assume responsibility for components transferred to high‑volume production.
• Assist customers with device usage problems and complex testing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field (Master’s or PhD acceptable with reduced experience requirement).
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience (or 2 years with a Master’s degree).
• Strong foundation in material science and practical application of its principles.
• Hands‑on experience with process characterization, Design of Experiments (DOE), and statistical data analysis.
• Proven ability to resolve complex technical issues using DMAIC methodology.
