Banquet Manager

About the role

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic at Tropicalia is assembling its pre‑opening team and seeks a Banquet Manager to lead all banquet operations. Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, you will be responsible for planning and executing meetings, weddings, social celebrations and special events with a focus on personalized service and memorable guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Lead every phase of banquet operations, from event setup and pre‑service preparation through execution, breakdown and post‑event follow‑up.
• Participate in pre‑opening activities such as developing SOPs, selecting equipment, configuring event spaces and simulating banquet experiences.
• Recruit, onboard, train, schedule, coach and develop the banquet team, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork and accountability.
• Review Banquet Event Orders and function details to ensure accurate timing, layout, menus, beverage service, audiovisual requirements and special guest requests.
• Coordinate closely with the kitchen, F&B outlets and other departments to guarantee seamless service delivery.
• Monitor inventory, cost control and health‑and‑safety standards throughout all banquet activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing banquet operations in a luxury hotel or resort environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high‑performing banquet team.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for event planning and execution.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests, vendors and internal partners.
