Infrastructure Engineer – Windows

About the role

We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer specialized in Windows environments to join our international consulting team. You will design, implement and support Windows Server platforms for a variety of clients, ensuring reliability, security and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, support and maintain Windows Server 2019/2022 in VMware virtual environments.
• Apply patches, updates and security hardening according to internal policies.
• Troubleshoot OS‑level issues, including crashes, performance bottlenecks and boot failures.
• Develop and maintain advanced PowerShell scripts for automation and remediation.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and related services.
• Perform routine SQL Server backups, restores, integrity checks and monitor performance.
• Apply patches and security updates to SQL Server and assist with basic tuning.
• Monitor system events and alerts using tools such as Dynatrace and Nagios.
• Handle ServiceNow ticket queues, prioritize incidents and requests, and escalate critical issues.
• Renew, deploy and revoke SSL/TLS certificates and track expiration.
• Administer Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments and resolve user session issues.
• Follow ITIL processes for incident, problem and change management and document solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge‑base documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience administering Windows Server and client OS in a medium‑to‑large enterprise.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and related services.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation.
• Experience with VMware virtualization and SAN/NAS storage.
• Basic SQL Server DBA skills (backups, restores, performance monitoring).
• Familiarity with patch‑management and monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Nagios).
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls).
• Awareness of ITIL Foundation processes.
