Training Specialist I (Automation)

About the role

Jabil is looking for an automation training specialist I who provides, hires and creates technical training on the processes and equipment of Jabil's operations, for both engineers and technicians. The role also covers creating procedures so that the whole team has access to the critical knowledge needed for manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Identify training needs in the technical and engineering teams.
• Create, hire or provide the necessary training for those teams.
• Create or contract educational and audio-visual content to support learning.
• Maintain a database of critical knowledge (courses, one-point lessons, manuals).
• Draft work instructions for equipment maintenance.
• Hire or create didactic training material based on real or practical cases.
• Deliver classroom and hands-on training in automation topics such as PLC, HMI and SMT.
• Create exams for certification of personnel on critical tasks.
• Responsible for specialized training and induction of automation staff on entry.
• Formulate learning objectives for the automation team and, with supervisors, create and/or modify curricula.

Required profile

• Technical degree in Mechatronics, Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
• One to two years of experience as a maintenance technician, in automation or manufacturing environments (preferred), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Professional technical trainer course (desirable).

Required skills

• Knowledge of electrical and pneumatic controls.
• Knowledge of PLC and vision system programming (desirable).
