Team Leader – Manufacturing Support

About the role

The Team Leader supports the manufacturing team in meeting production goals and customer quality requirements. The role focuses on issue escalation, continuous improvement, and enabling operators to concentrate on core tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor production, escalate issues to the supervisor, and drive continuous improvement.
• Conduct audits (5S, safety, quality, standardized work) and ensure compliance with policies.
• Perform non‑cyclic support tasks such as paperwork, model change preparation, quality checks, and material movement.
• Lead morning huddles, coordinate shift changes, and communicate area performance in production board meetings.
• Facilitate cross‑training, support problem‑solving, and act as a liaison between associates and the supervisor.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in a technical or business field preferred.
• Proven ability to perform all jobs in the supported area and step in during emergencies.
• Strong motivation, teamwork spirit, and desire to lead.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Required skills

• Ability to use computers for documentation and communication.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety/quality standards.
