Senior Buyer – Center of Excellence

About the role

The Senior Buyer will support Eaton manufacturing plants and other locations in the Americas from the Center of Excellence, handling medium to high‑complexity procurement networks to ensure material availability and supplier stability.

Key responsibilities

• Procure direct materials in line with plant and corporate regulations, generating purchase orders based on demand requirements.
• Coordinate with network schedulers, logistics partners and suppliers to manage order execution, deliveries, and exception messages such as postponements or cancellations.
• Resolve internal discrepancies and external supplier issues, including delivery problems, claims, and quality concerns.
• Monitor supply performance (SOTD) and work with category managers to implement corrective actions for on‑time delivery improvement.
• Maintain purchasing data (prices, lead times, MOQ, etc.) in collaboration with Data Health and Commodity teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in operational procurement or a similar role.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Strong analytical mindset, proactive attitude and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Kinaxis and SAP MM.
• Experience with Mapics, Oracle (or similar ERP systems).
• Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel.
