Tax Specialist (Dominican Republic)

About the role

Arajet is seeking a Tax Specialist to support the preparation and filing of national taxes in the Dominican Republic and to ensure compliance across all jurisdictions where the airline operates. The role will work closely with internal teams and external consultants to safeguard the company from audit findings and regulatory breaches.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise external consultants and the in‑house tax team to achieve departmental goals.
• Develop reports and processes that improve tax filing accuracy and meet payment deadlines.
• Interact with the Dominican Republic tax authority for procedures, consultations, and compliance matters.
• Ensure company‑wide adherence to tax policies, regulations, and risk‑mitigation strategies.
• Support the generation and transmission of tax‑related information for compliance in all operating countries.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a tax department, preferably within a tax‑compliance firm.
• Hands‑on experience preparing or reviewing national taxes in the Dominican Republic.
• Proven ability to work with local and foreign tax authorities.
• Strong technical knowledge of Dominican tax laws and basic transfer‑pricing reporting.
• Intermediate to advanced communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, including PowerQuery.
