System Lean Engineer

About the role

The System Lean Engineer / Lean Coach leads the deployment of Jabil Operating System (JOS+), drives Lean culture transformation and ensures operational excellence across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and continuously improve daily quality and efficiency performance for assigned areas.
• Design and procure production tooling, processing equipment and workstations, and coordinate layout moves.
• Prepare time estimates for projects, evaluate time factors and drive continuous improvement actions.
• Analyze operational KPIs, trends and performance gaps to identify systemic improvement opportunities.
• Lead root cause analysis, structured problem‑solving and ensure sustainability of corrective actions.
• Foster a culture of accountability, engagement and respect for people while adhering to safety and security policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
• Experience facilitating Kaizen events, value‑stream improvements and Lean transformation initiatives.
• Demonstrated coaching of leaders and teams in Lean tools and methodologies.
• Experience managing KPIs, problem‑solving processes and operational improvement projects.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Visio.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project.
