Equipment Maintenance Technician III

About the role

The Equipment Maintenance Technician III works under general supervision to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electro‑mechanical equipment used in manufacturing. The role involves both preventive maintenance and responding to equipment failures.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair non‑functioning electro‑mechanical equipment using blueprints, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, calibrations, and rebuilds of manufacturing equipment.
• Document maintenance activities, maintain data for process‑improvement initiatives, and communicate with equipment suppliers.
• Source and purchase parts, assist in developing work procedures, and train employees on machinery operation.

Required profile

• Associate degree in electronics or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience with electro‑mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Understanding of safety practices and electronic component markings.

Required skills

• Troubleshooting electro‑mechanical systems.
• Use of test, diagnostic, and calibration equipment.
• Operation of forklift (certification may be required).
• Proficiency with Windows applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and specialized maintenance tracking software.
