Solution Architect – Data Integration (Part-Time Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a Solution Architect who will bridge finance and engineering by translating a complex subscription billing model into actionable data requirements for our integration team. This part‑time contractor position focuses on guiding stakeholders through a migration from a legacy accounting system to Zuora while maintaining clear communication and technical continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Translate Zuora’s billing model into data requirements for the integration team.
• Lead business analysis for custom billing rules, revenue recognition, and reporting not covered by Zuora professional services.
• Guide finance and business stakeholders through the migration from legacy accounting to Zuora.
• Interpret Zuora’s data model and billing logic to unblock the integration team, acting as a partial platform advisor.
• Facilitate decision‑making and trade‑off discussions with the controller and finance stakeholders.
• Maintain stakeholder communication and technical context during the planned handover period.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven business analysis experience, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and gap analysis.
• Strong subscription and billing domain knowledge covering recurring revenue, invoicing, and payment lifecycle.
• Data literacy with the ability to read pipeline logic, validate data flows, and QA outputs.
• Stakeholder facilitation skills, capable of running workshops and producing decision documents.
• Prior experience with ERP or accounting system migrations.
• Ability to ramp up independently on a new billing platform’s data model.
• Advanced English fluency for executive‑level collaboration with a US‑based finance team.

Required skills

• Zuora platform (billing, revenue, CPQ modules).
• Google Cloud Platform ecosystem, including BigQuery, Looker, and Data Studio.
• Familiarity with change‑management frameworks such as ADKAR or Kotter.
