Senior Tax Analyst - Regional Tax Advisor

About the role

SOL is looking for a Senior Tax Analyst (Regional Tax Advisor) based in the Dominican Republic, reporting to the Group Tax Manager. The role supports the SOL Group tax function across several jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review local income tax returns for corporation and indirect taxes in multiple jurisdictions
• Calculate and document quarterly and annual tax provisions, including analysis of tax accounts and reserves
• Research complex tax issues, interpret tax laws and regulations and apply them to transactions and situations
• Assist with tax audits by gathering documentation, responding to inquiries and resolving issues
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including managing tax registrations and filings in multiple jurisdictions
• Analyze the tax impact of business decisions, structures and transactions and identify tax-saving opportunities
• Perform other duties compatible with the level of the position as assigned

Required profile

• Professional-level accounting qualification (CGA, ACCA, CPA, CA)
• Bachelor's degree or above
• At least 4 years of experience in tax or accounting roles
• Previous experience with Latin American/Caribbean tax matters; US tax experience is a plus
• Strong command of English and Spanish, written and spoken; working knowledge of French or Dutch is an asset
• Big 4 training and a compliance background preferred
• Ability to manage multiple projects and parties while meeting filing deadlines, and to work collaboratively in remote teams

• Tax software (Onesource, Vertex) and major accounting systems (SAP, GP)
• Alteryx, Power BI or similar tools are a plus
