Senior Tax Analyst - Regional Tax Advisor

About the role

SOL is looking for a Senior Tax Analyst (Regional Tax Advisor) based in the Dominican Republic, reporting to the Group Tax Manager. The role supports the SOL Group tax function across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review local income tax returns for corporation and indirect taxes in several jurisdictions
• Calculate and document quarterly and annual tax provisions, including analysis of tax accounts and reserves
• Research complex tax issues, interpret tax laws and regulations and apply them to transactions
• Assist with tax audits by gathering documentation, answering inquiries and resolving issues
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, including managing tax registrations and filings
• Analyze the tax impact of business decisions, structures and transactions and identify tax-saving opportunities

Required profile

• Professional-level accounting qualification (CGA, ACCA, CPA, CA)
• Bachelor's degree or higher
• At least 4 years of experience in tax or accounting roles
• Experience with Latin American/Caribbean tax matters; US tax experience is a plus
• Strong written and spoken English and Spanish; French or Dutch is an asset
• Ability to manage multiple projects and parties while meeting filing deadlines
• Self-driven, proactive and able to work collaboratively in remote teams

Required skills

• Significant Excel experience; Alteryx, Power BI or similar tools are a plus
• Tax software such as Onsource or Vertex
• Major accounting systems such as SAP or GP
• Big 4 training and a compliance background preferred
