Senior Software Engineer – Web Rendering (Agentic Search)

About the role

Nebius is building an agent‑native search platform for AI systems. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design and operate the rendering infrastructure that transforms modern web applications into high‑quality structured content for our search APIs.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement large‑scale rendering systems for modern, client‑side heavy websites.
• Develop browser‑based rendering pipelines capable of executing complex JavaScript reliably.
• Research how contemporary frontend frameworks render and deliver content, and translate findings into production‑ready solutions.
• Improve rendering quality, completeness, and performance across a diverse set of sites.
• Optimise cost, latency, resource utilisation and throughput at internet scale.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer on production backend or infrastructure systems.
• Deep expertise in browser rendering, JavaScript execution, and headless browser environments.
• Strong understanding of modern web application architectures and server‑side rendering techniques.

• Chromium rendering pipeline (DOM, layout, paint, compositing)
• JavaScript execution inside browsers
• Chrome DevTools Protocol (CDP)
• Playwright, Puppeteer, Selenium or similar frameworks
• React, Vue, Angular, Svelte
• Server‑side rendering (SSR) concepts
