Senior R&D Engineer

About the role

Baxter is looking for a Senior R&D Engineer in Haina. The role connects Research & Development with plant operations, helping bring new products to market while sustaining and improving existing product portfolios. You will lead design transfer initiatives, support product lifecycle management and influence technical decisions that improve quality, efficiency and customer outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design transfer activities for new product introductions and product sustainability initiatives, ensuring successful implementation into manufacturing.
• Partner with manufacturing, quality, regulatory, supply chain and engineering teams to align product development with business and customer needs.
• Drive product and process improvements through data-driven analysis and engineering best practices.
• Manage technical deliverables within product lifecycle management and change control, and develop and maintain technical documentation.
• Apply engineering tools such as Design of Experiments (DOE), FMEA, Statistical Process Control (SPC) and root cause analysis.
• Lead project teams, mentor colleagues and promote continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in product development, R&D, manufacturing engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated success delivering technical projects and solving complex engineering challenges.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing environments and knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills, and clear communication with technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with new product introductions, design transfer or product lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of DOE, SPC, Total Quality Management and risk management methodologies.
• Experience with engineering design, modeling or CAD tools.
• Exposure to medical device, healthcare, pharmaceutical or highly regulated manufacturing industries.
• Experience leading project teams or mentoring colleagues.
