Senior Project Engineer – Medical Device Transfer

About the role

Medtronic is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead end‑to‑end medical device product transfer projects. You will ensure compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, and other regulatory requirements while driving cross‑functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead product transfer projects from concept to manufacturing, maintaining regulatory compliance.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, timelines, milestones, resources, and budgets.
• Build, manage, and monitor critical path schedules using Microsoft Project.
• Facilitate collaboration among engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, and R&D teams.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, creating contingency plans.
• Remove technical and operational roadblocks to accelerate issue resolution.
• Provide technical leadership for project decisions, process improvements, and manufacturing readiness.
• Communicate status, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related) with 3+ years experience, or Master’s with 2+ years.
• 3+ years leading engineering projects in regulated medical device or life‑sciences environments.
• Experience managing product transfers, process implementation, or scale‑up activities.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project for scheduling and resource planning.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage risks, timelines, and deliverables.
