Senior Buyer/Planner

About the role

The Senior Buyer/Planner ensures uninterrupted supply of direct materials for manufacturing while optimizing inventory, supplier performance, and cost. This role links Supply Chain Planning, Sourcing, Operations, Quality, Engineering, and external suppliers to balance service, inventory investment, and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Source, purchase, plan, and schedule raw materials, components, packaging, services, and finished goods through production and inventory processes.
• Analyze data to determine cost‑effective pricing while maintaining quality, reliability, and schedule requirements.
• Coordinate with production, warehouse, and engineering to ensure proper procurement and material movement.
• Monitor supplier performance, manage commitments, and drive resolution of supply risks.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives and support global supply chain objectives.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in supply chain planning, purchasing, procurement, or materials management.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or BPCS in a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and strong analytical/problem‑solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with relevant experience.
