Senior Medicaid Case Manager

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate and highly organized Senior Medicaid Case Manager to guide seniors and their families through the complex Medicaid application process. The role blends deep empathy with strong analytical abilities to ensure each application is complete, accurate, and compliant with state regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the financial documentation process managed by the support team.
• Review 3‑5 years of bank statements, asset disclosures, tax returns, and legal documents to build a comprehensive financial profile.
• Maintain ultimate responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of the application package before submission.
• Conduct sensitive interviews with seniors and families, explaining Medicaid rules in clear, reassuring language.
• Provide a calm presence for clients experiencing stress or cognitive decline, moving at a pace that ensures comfort and respect.
• Act as the primary liaison between clients, financial institutions, legal representatives, and Medicaid offices to resolve queries.

Required profile

• Extreme attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Genuine warmth and patience when working with elderly clients.
• 2+ years of experience in case management, social work, elder law, or medical billing.
• Direct experience with long‑term care Medicaid applications is highly preferred.
• Strong critical‑thinking abilities to navigate bureaucratic obstacles.
