Senior Buyer / Planner

About the role

Medtronic is seeking a Senior Buyer/Planner to ensure timely procurement and planning of materials that support production and customer demand. The role works closely with suppliers, manufacturing, sourcing, logistics and cross‑functional teams to balance supply and demand while meeting inventory, service, quality and cost objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute procurement activities to secure materials for production and customer demand.
• Manage purchase orders, supplier schedules and delivery commitments to maintain supply continuity.
• Monitor material requirements, inventory levels and demand forecasts to optimise inventory performance.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve delivery, quality, capacity and supply issues.
• Partner with manufacturing, sourcing, logistics and planning teams to support production plans.
• Analyse supply chain data to identify risks, trends and improvement opportunities.
• Drive corrective actions for material shortages, supply disruptions and inventory imbalances.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance planning, procurement and overall supply‑chain performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of experience in buying, planning, procurement or supply‑chain management.
• Experience managing purchase orders, supplier relationships and material‑planning activities.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Proven ability to analyse data and make inventory decisions using Microsoft Excel.

• Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for planning and procurement transactions.
• Microsoft Excel for data analysis and inventory planning.
