Buyer/Planner II

About the role

Medtronic is hiring a Buyer Planner II in the Dominican Republic, working within its Supply Chain function. The role balances supply and demand, manages supplier performance and drives continuity of supply so that manufacturing and customer needs are met. It follows a flex work arrangement, with travel of up to 10% for supplier engagement, business meetings, training or operational initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute material purchases to meet production schedules and customer demand.
• Monitor inventory levels and take action to keep target inventory and service metrics.
• Manage supplier relationships to secure on-time delivery, availability and issue resolution.
• Analyze demand, supply and inventory data to spot risks and act on them.
• Work with manufacturing, quality, logistics and sourcing teams.
• Maintain planning parameters, purchase orders and material master data in enterprise systems.
• Help resolve supplier shortages, delivery delays and material escalations.
• Take part in continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in supply chain, materials planning, purchasing, procurement, manufacturing or related operations.
• Fluent verbal and written English and Spanish.
• Preferred: experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (medical devices, pharma, biotech).

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems for purchasing, planning or inventory management.
• Experience analyzing inventory, demand planning and supplier performance data.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other business reporting tools.
• Preferred: SAP, MRP knowledge, CPIM certification.
