About the role

Deel is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help build and scale its all‑in‑one payroll and HR platform for global teams. You will work on high‑impact features that serve millions of users across more than 150 countries.

Key responsibilities

Collaborate with Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QA to deliver seamless user experiences.
Participate in product planning from discovery through deployment, contributing to every stage of the software development lifecycle.
Design, develop, and maintain robust new features and APIs for the platform.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs quickly, maintaining high quality and performance standards.
Ensure a customer‑centric approach by delivering reliable, high‑quality backend services.

Required profile

Strong expertise in backend development with a focus on Node.js.
Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript best practices.
Experience with at least one additional server‑side language.
Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL.
