About the role

The Resident Engineer (Civil Engineer with a Master’s in Project Management) ensures that construction projects are executed correctly, meeting quality, safety, and schedule standards. The role involves leading the on‑site team and coordinating all project activities.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and supervise construction works, guaranteeing adherence to deadlines and project requirements.
• Coordinate the work team and efficiently allocate tasks.
• Maintain constant communication with clients and suppliers.
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout all phases of the work.

Required profile

• Candidate must reside in the Dominican Republic.
• Academic degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture and a postgraduate qualification in Project Management or a similar field.
• Valid professional registration with the local engineering board (CODIA or equivalent).
• Documented experience executing at least one civil work valued around USD 50,000,000, with certification detailing client, contractor, scope, dates, role, and signature.
• Direct participation as Resident Engineer on at least one similar bascule bridge project.
• Desirable: PMP or PMI certification and experience managing public infrastructure works.
