Quality Manager

About the role

Champro, a private manufacturer of sports articles and apparel with more than 30 years of experience, is looking for a Quality Manager in its Quality department in La Vega. The position reports to the Country Quality Manager / Director of Engineering and Quality and is full-time. The manager ensures that production processes and final products meet company quality standards, optimizes efficiency and reduces waste, builds a quality assurance and control system, develops a qualified support team and promotes a quality culture at the source.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement quality policies and procedures aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
• Supervise and evaluate production and service processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Plan and conduct internal audits, coordinate external audits and manage corrective and preventive actions.
• Establish, monitor and report quality metrics at every stage of the process.
• Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends, problems and improvement opportunities.
• Train staff on quality practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Manage customer complaints and follow them up through the ticket system.
• Work with production, engineering, training, art and logistics to promote a quality culture across the organization.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in quality.
• Knowledge of AQL military sampling tables (2.5%, Level II).
• Advanced English.
• Preferred: experience leading quality teams, experience in quality management system audits, and knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience with statistical software.
