Production Coordinator - Night Shift (Sewing Area)

About the role

Champro, a private manufacturer of sports articles and apparel with more than 30 years of experience, is looking for a Production Coordinator for its night shift in La Vega, Dominican Republic. The position reports to the Plant Manager / Production Manager and covers the sewing area, ensuring productive efficiency, quality compliance and optimal use of people and materials.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily production schedules, meeting volume and quality targets.
• Directly manage the operational resources of the sewing floor (machinery and personnel), minimizing downtime.
• Implement continuous improvement strategies to increase operational efficiency (OEE).
• Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene and order standards in the production area.
• Supervise and develop the staff under your charge, fostering a productive work environment.
• Work closely with support areas to ensure an uninterrupted workflow.
• Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and report operational performance to Production Management.

Required profile

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or related fields.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in management or supervisory roles in textile manufacturing plants.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and textile process management.
• Experience managing operational KPIs.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Desired: team leadership, strategic vision, problem-solving, commitment to continuous improvement and decisive decision-making.

The schedule is Monday to Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and Saturday, 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Success in the role is measured by adherence to the daily production plan, OEE, rejection and quality rates, safety indicators and operating cost efficiency.
