Full-Stack Developer (Python & AI-Assisted Development)

About the role

A technology company in Santo Domingo, Distrito Nacional is looking for a full-stack developer who combines solid software engineering fundamentals with practical experience using AI coding tools. The role covers Python backend services, frontend interfaces, databases, integrations, testing and deployment, from requirements through delivery. It is a full-time, on-site position from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with salary competitive and based on experience.

Key responsibilities

• Translate product requirements into implementation plans, tasks and acceptance criteria.
• Build complete features across frontend interfaces, Python backend services, databases and APIs.
• Use AI coding tools to support implementation, refactoring, debugging, testing and documentation, giving them useful context and reviewing their output for correctness, security and compatibility.
• Verify functionality through automated tests, manual checks and realistic user flows.
• Implement authentication, authorization, input validation, error handling and secure handling of credentials.
• Deploy applications using established workflows and troubleshoot using logs and monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and developers, and document setup instructions, technical decisions and known limitations.

Required profile

• 1 to 3 years of full-stack development experience.
• Practical experience using an AI coding assistant on real projects, able to read, explain, debug and modify AI-generated code.
• Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Nice to have: a portfolio showing AI-assisted work, Docker, cloud hosting and CI/CD experience, browser automation and end-to-end testing, and awareness of AI usage costs and privacy.

Required skills

• Strong Python with Django, Flask, FastAPI or a comparable framework.
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript or TypeScript and a frontend framework such as React, Vue or Angular.
• Relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Git, branches, pull requests and code reviews; testing, application security and deployment fundamentals.
