Facilities Maintenance Technician IV

About the role

Jabil is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician IV who works under limited supervision. The role coordinates the daily activities of the Facilities Support team and oversees moderately complex maintenance on a wide range of building and facility equipment, fixtures and systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, motivate and coach team members through direct, timely formal and informal feedback, and keep them informed of changes.
• Ensure team members are trained, certified and performing their duties correctly.
• Keep work areas clean and organised to minimise hazards.
• Perform electrical, painting and/or carpentry repairs of fixtures and equipment.
• Oversee installation, relocation and reinstallation of equipment.
• Maintain and repair air compressors, air dryers and vacuum systems, and keep air conditioning and ventilation equipment within manufacturer specifications.
• Perform simple engineering calculations for proposed new equipment and update mechanical prints when needed.
• Follow preventive maintenance instructions and document the records.
• Troubleshoot, inspect equipment periodically and maintain maintenance records for each piece of equipment.
• Act as liaison between the Facilities Department and internal customers and vendors.
• Submit proposals and recommendations to the department supervisor for upgrades or changes.
• Adhere to safety, health rules and company security procedures.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Four to six years of experience in the maintenance field, or demonstrated skills required to perform the job.
