Principal (Vice President), Services Business Development

About the role

Mastercard Services acquires, engages and retains customers by managing fraud and risk, cybersecurity and improving the digital payments experience, while offering value-added services. As Principal (Vice President), Services Business Development, you will lead sales conversations and new client development across the Services Business lines for a set of accounts in the Dominican Republic.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver sales targets for existing accounts and contribute to Mastercard Worldwide deal bids
• Open new markets for Mastercard Services beyond financial institutions and generate user pay
• Capture implicit client needs alongside stated requests and identify the most critical aspects of the problem
• Translate objectives into hypotheses and structure work for large or complex projects
• Contribute to formal and informal pitches, from storyboarding to face-to-face presentations
• Create concise, persuasive written materials tailored to each audience
• Contribute to project delivery and take remedial action on shortcomings

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree required; MBA or relevant postgraduate degree recommended
• Experience in top management consulting firms and in the relevant industry
• Knowledge of the payments market, trends and opportunities
• Strong commercial drive and ability to build and monetize senior client relationships
• Consulting or data-driven solution selling background with success in short sales cycles
• Advanced analytical skills, including framing customer opportunity in financial terms
• Proficiency in written and verbal Spanish and English
