Patient Advocate

About the role

Horatio is seeking Patient Advocates to support patients and providers within a telehealth environment in Santo Domingo. The role involves managing insurance tasks, patient communication, care coordination, and pharmacy operations.

Key responsibilities

• Administer insurance processes including eligibility verification, prior authorizations, and coverage determination.
• Provide written patient support via messaging platforms, handling non‑clinical inquiries and de‑escalation.
• Manage complex Electronic Health Records (EHR) workflows, triage messages, and route work to clinicians.
• Coordinate with pharmacies to resolve prescription fulfillment issues.
• Maintain operational efficiency by handling multiple applications and adhering to SOPs.

Required profile

• 2+ years BPO experience supporting patients or medical operations.
• Professional experience in telehealth, pharmacy operations, or provider practices.
• Near‑native written English with empathetic, patient‑focused communication.
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and self‑motivation skills.
