Operations Manager - Short-Term Rental / Hospitality

About the role

A luxury short-term rental and hospitality company operating across the United States is hiring a highly organized and proactive Operations Manager with experience in short-term rentals or hospitality. The role oversees day-to-day operations across a portfolio of luxury properties, in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. It is a full-time, remote position with US time zone flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations across multiple short-term rental properties
• Oversee cleaners, maintenance staff and third-party vendors
• Handle guest communication with rapid response times (under 5 minutes during active hours) and resolve guest issues while maintaining a high standard of service
• Coordinate property turnovers, inspections and readiness
• Develop, document and improve SOPs and operational systems
• Monitor and optimize operational KPIs, including guest satisfaction (target: 4.8+ rating)
• Identify inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions, keeping properties fully operational and guest-ready

Required profile

• Proven experience in short-term rental, hospitality or property management operations
• Ability to manage multiple properties simultaneously
• Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving under pressure, organization and attention to detail
• Independent, ownership-driven approach

Required skills

• Familiarity with PMS platforms (e.g. Guesty)
• Tools such as Slack, WhatsApp, Notion or Asana
• Dynamic pricing tools (e.g. PriceLabs)
• Building SOPs and operational systems
• Basic understanding of revenue management in hospitality
