About the role

The Traffic Officer will coordinate, execute and monitor import cargo operations, ensuring accurate documentation, shipment tracking, Bill of Lading preparation, and smooth interaction with clients, shipping lines, customs warehouses and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Track cargo movements and monitor ETD/ETA dates.
• Prepare and issue child Bill of Lading (HBL) for each client.
• Send pre‑alerts with HBL for client validation and follow up on confirmations.
• Issue arrival notices and update clients on cargo location.
• Enter and manifest cargo in the SIGA system, including container entry.
• Manage consignee changes across port platforms (HIT, DPH, DP World, Veconinter).
• Dispatch original BLs after cargo manifestation.
• Coordinate cargo releases with shipping lines and fiscal warehouses.
• Oversee container unloading and verify goods against the Loading Guide.
• Handle required shipping documentation, insurance policies, and invoicing; forward files to Accounting.
• Maintain organized operation files.

Required profile

• Student near graduation or graduate in International Business, Business Administration or related fields.
• Previous experience in traffic, maritime operations, imports or freight forwarding.
• Knowledge of import processes, Bill of Lading, manifests, pre‑alerts and cargo releases.
• Familiarity with SIGA system and shipping documentation.
• Basic English proficiency.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Additional knowledge of Magaya and basic customs techniques is a plus.
