About the role

The Land Officer will support the Projects team by providing cadastral and registry information for properties involved in land acquisition and resettlement processes. The role ensures that accurate maps, reports and data are available to initiate titling and to inform management.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct registry and cadastral research for assigned projects.
• Create maps, plans and related images using GIS and drafting tools.
• Receive, verify, validate and classify surveys delivered by contractors.
• Maintain and update acquisition layers in the project database.
• Identify potential lands for acquisition based on project needs.
• Locate owners or possessors of land parcels using available applications.
• Support and validate information requests from various departments (geology, environment, exploration, etc.).
• Prepare and update support files (Excel, DWG, KMZ).
• Perform spot field surveys and verify contractor‑provided data.
• Conduct on‑site visits to validate cadastral information and engage with landowners.
• Organize, analyze and archive field data and weekly activity reports.
• Interact with institutions to complete legal land‑acquisition dossiers and gather documentation for agreements.

Required profile

• Student near graduation or graduate in Law, Surveying (Agrimensura) or related fields.
• Knowledge of negotiation and real‑estate law.
• Intermediate English proficiency.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• At least 2 years of experience as a surveyor assistant, lawyer or in a real‑estate company.
