Mine Maintenance Advisor

About the role

Barrick is seeking a Mine Maintenance Advisor to join its maintenance team at the Pueblo Viejo mine. The advisor will mentor and monitor technicians, supervisors, and general supervisors, ensuring best‑practice maintenance across the operation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement professional development plans for national staff, focusing on succession and career growth.
• Provide hands‑on support for maintenance execution, troubleshooting, and fleet issue diagnosis.
• Assess and improve existing processes; create and apply best‑practice procedures where gaps exist.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects in collaboration with other departments to boost efficiency and profitability.
• Prepare and oversee production reports, measuring efficiency, assigning costs, and informing decision‑making.
• Ensure training programs meet objectives, drive continuous improvement, and maintain high team capability.

Required profile

• Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in mobile equipment maintenance within a mining environment.
• Proven experience in similar maintenance advisory or supervisory roles.
• Fluency in Spanish and English preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance management software (SAP).
