Medical Missions Program Assistant (Temporary)

About the role

The Medical Missions Program Assistant provides essential administrative, operational, and logistical support for One World Surgery’s medical missions in Honduras and the Dominican Republic. This temporary position ensures volunteers receive timely guidance from application through post‑mission follow‑up.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to volunteer inquiries via email, phone, and text.
• Guide volunteers through the Regpack application process and assign applications to coordinators.
• Download mission reports from Regpack and upload them to SharePoint.
• Assist with scholarship processing, flight bookings, travel insurance, and coordination with travel‑management and fundraising platforms.
• Perform quarterly program fee audits and recover outstanding payments.
• Provide on‑call support at least one weekend per month, monitoring WhatsApp for urgent issues.
• Support physician accreditation, background checks, and additional administrative tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple volunteer requests simultaneously.
• Availability to be on‑call during weekends and respond within 30 minutes.
• Experience working with nonprofit or global‑health programs is a plus.
