Material Handler III

About the role

Jabil is looking for a Material Handler III who works under minimal supervision and acts as the lead in the supervisor's absence. The role ensures accuracy in SAP and covers at least three of the listed tasks: RTS (return to stock), stockroom, cycle counts, WIP support, shipping, receiving inspection or receiving. Inventory variances are reconciled and line-record accuracy is reported to the Supervisor and Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Stockroom / RTS: put material away in stockrooms using RF scanners in SAP, pull and split kits, scan kits to the G drive, pull shortages, count material returned from the line and keep box build areas and kanbans organised.
• Cycle counting of any area, completing material disposition reports and back-flushing material in the ERP system.
• Receiving: validate carton count against the bill of lading, match packing to lots, sign for deliveries, validate purchase orders and parts, and complete dock receipts.
• Receiving inspection: follow inspection plans, verify packing slips and receipts, move material in SAP, adjust inventory directly and obtain IPC-A-610 quality inspection certification with annual re-certification.
• Shipping: understand domestic and international shipping procedures, schedule or manage carriers (Jabil or customer) and support work cells through month-end shipments, sometimes working extra hours.
• Move material physically and via systems, operate material handling equipment, and act as a liaison between Production Control, Production Management and the production line on inventory or shortage issues.

Required profile

• Ability to define problems, gather data and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to read and understand visual aids and simple instructions, and to handle standardized situations with few variables.
• Ability to communicate with managers, clients and customers and to write simple correspondence.

Required skills

• Personal computer use, including a Windows-based operating system and advanced PC skills with Jabil's software packages.
• Basic arithmetic and ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages.
