Manager - Procurement Consulting

About the role

GEP, a procurement and supply chain solutions firm offering consulting, software and managed services with over 30 international offices, is looking for a Manager - Procurement Consulting. The role contributes to the global strategy of the procurement consultancy practice, owns client relationships and leads teams on projects and programs.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and execution of the global strategy for the procurement consultancy practice
• Own client relationships and satisfaction levels
• Lead team thinking and efforts to achieve project and program objectives, and coach team members
• Help the team understand client culture and identify new business opportunities, supporting the Program Manager/BD in expanding client relationships
• Manage multiple projects concurrently and deliver consistent positive results
• Develop sourcing strategies and processes aligned with clients' business goals and policies
• Interface with clients to understand their sourcing and procurement requirements
• Develop recommendations on cost savings, SLAs, transformation and other program objectives
• Lead sourcing, RFQ events, auctions, supplier management and negotiations
• Use data sources to build fact-based recommendations and complex analyses, and present confidently to clients

Required profile

• Management consulting experience in a consulting firm, or a combination of consultancy and industry experience
• Demonstrated leadership ability and outstanding client management skills
• Business problem-solving skills with strong analytical and reporting skills
• Excellent presentation skills and business development potential
• Fluency in German or French is a must
• Ability to travel 30% of the time

Required skills

• Knowledge of business process improvement methodologies such as TQM, Six Sigma, APEX is a plus
