Maintenance Technician II

About the role

The Maintenance Technician II will ensure the Machine Shop operates efficiently, supporting the production of fixtures, mechanical parts, and equipment used throughout the plant. This role combines hands‑on machining, inspection, and maintenance tasks in a medical manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop work in the Machine Shop, including fixtures and mechanical components.
• Perform machining functions for production and support equipment.
• Manufacture assembly machine components, tooling, fixtures, and jigs.
• Control Machine Shop functionality, focusing on fixture assemblies and maintenance parts.
• Keep the Machine Shop area clean, functional, and safe.
• Inspect finished work for compliance with drawing specifications using precision tools such as calipers.
• Provide support to manufacturing, engineering, facility, and maintenance projects.
• Participate in equipment validations and overhaul manufacturing equipment when required.

Required profile

• University or technical school education; bilingual ability preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a medical industry or machine shop environment.

Required skills

• Machining and production of assembly components, tooling, fixtures, and jigs.
• Inspection of parts using precision tools (e.g., calipers).
• Development and assembly of fixtures for manufacturing.
• Equipment validation and overhaul of manufacturing equipment.
