About the role

The Legal Leader will head the legal vertical of OPTIMIZATE, providing practical and preventive legal support to entrepreneurs and the company. The role focuses on reducing risks, strengthening labor and contractual relationships, and enabling better business decisions from a legal perspective.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to entrepreneurs participating in OPTIMIZATE programs.
• Draft, review, and update labor, commercial, and other contracts.
• Create and maintain internal regulations, policies, protocols, and documentation.
• Identify labor, contractual, and business risks and propose preventive actions.
• Support negotiations and conflict prevention.
• Monitor claims, contingencies, lawsuits, and legal processes.
• Coordinate with external lawyers and specialists when specialized representation is required.
• Stay updated on legislative and regulatory changes affecting the company and its clients.
• Develop and maintain tools such as a contract library, checklists, risk matrices, document templates, and the OPTIMIZATE Legal Radar.
• Collaborate with other departments on legal matters with financial, operational, or HR implications.

Required profile

• Law degree (Licenciatura or Doctorado) with professional license to practice in the Dominican Republic.
• Preferably five or more years of experience in labor, corporate, commercial law, contracts, or business advisory.
• Experience advising companies or SMEs is highly valued.
• Strong knowledge of labor law and contract negotiation.
• Understanding of corporate, commercial law and legal risk management.
• Ability to coordinate litigation and work with external counsel.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex legal topics clearly.
• Organized, analytical, preventive, solution‑oriented, and highly confidential.
