About the role

The Crop Establishment Manager is responsible for achieving production targets while minimizing plant loss, shortening cycle times, and ensuring the highest product quality. This role oversees the establishment, hardening (acclimatization), and dispatch preparation processes for in‑vitro propagated plant material, with a focus on Musaceae species.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and supervise establishment and hardening phases of in‑vitro plant material, meeting volume and schedule requirements.
• Enforce strict biosecurity, phytosanitary, and agronomic protocols to reduce mortality and maintain vigor.
• Continuously improve cycle times by optimizing environmental conditions, sowing techniques, and handling practices.
• Coordinate selection, classification, packaging, and efficient preparation of plants for dispatch, ensuring commercial and sanitary quality standards.
• Monitor, record, and analyze key performance indicators (survival rates, process times, output quality) and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain order and compliance with sanitary regulations in transition, hardening, and dispatch areas.

Required profile

• Professional degree in Agronomy, Biology, Agricultural Engineering, Biotechnology or related field.
• More than 5 years of proven experience managing nurseries, greenhouses, and hardening processes, especially with Musaceae production.
• Strong results orientation, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively.
