IT Support Technician

About the role

The IT Support Technician will provide technical support to faculty, staff, and students at Saint George School, ensuring smooth operation of all devices and classroom technology. The role includes preparing devices for the school year, maintaining inventory, and supporting after‑hours events.

Key responsibilities

• Manage desktops, laptops, tablets, AV equipment, operating systems and applications for staff and classrooms.
• Monitor the help desk, own tickets, set priorities and communicate status.
• Prepare, distribute and inventory staff and student devices (Chromebooks, MacBooks, iPads).
• Support and maintain networking equipment, Wi‑Fi, CCTV, IP telephony, cabling and switches.
• Assist with AV setups for school events and perform hardware repairs.

Required profile

• Degree or relevant professional qualification.
• Minimum 2 years experience in technical support.
• Professional, patient customer service approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Support for macOS, iOS, Chrome OS and Windows.
• Experience with help desk ticketing systems.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office 365.
• Knowledge of wired and wireless networking.
• Experience with JAMF and/or Microsoft Intune.
• Hardware repair skills for Windows PCs, MacBooks and Chromebooks.
