Internal Audit Senior Specialist

About the role

Hayco is looking for an experienced Internal Audit Senior Specialist to strengthen internal controls, identify risks and drive operational excellence across its manufacturing operations. The role works closely with cross-functional teams, evaluates business processes, supports risk management and contributes to continuous improvement in a global manufacturing setting.

Key responsibilities

• Execute risk-based internal audits across operational, financial, compliance and business processes.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Conduct audits on inventory management, manufacturing operations, procurement, logistics and compliance.
• Document findings, identify root causes and track corrective actions until completion.
• Support fraud risk assessments and compliance reviews.
• Collaborate with site leadership and functional teams to drive process improvements.
• Prepare audit reports and present results to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, industrial engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in internal audit, external audit, operational finance or a combination of these.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and internal controls.
• Experience auditing operational processes and inventory controls.
• CIA, CPA or CISA certification (or progress toward it) highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills in English and Spanish; willingness to travel as required.

Required skills

• SAP experience is a plus.
