About the role

The Data Engineer will design, develop, implement and maintain data integration, transformation and storage solutions that support analytics and decision‑making across the organization. The role focuses on efficiently ingesting data from corporate systems such as SAP and other internal or external sources into the enterprise data platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage data pipelines, storage models and ETL/ELT processes using Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse and Dataflows.
• Ensure data availability and performance for Power BI, advanced analytics and AI solutions.
• Implement and manage APIs for data consumption and integration with other applications.
• Collaborate with data engineers on feature stores and model versioning systems.
• Guarantee security, regulatory compliance and auditability of data processing and model deployment.
• Research and adopt new technologies to improve development and deployment workflows.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to integrate models into enterprise solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience handling data.
• Advanced SQL skills and query optimization on relational and analytical engines.
• Proven experience designing and developing ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric components (Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2, Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake, Notebooks).
• Proficiency in Python and PySpark for data engineering tasks.
• Experience with SAP HANA, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of ERP integration, especially SAP ECC / S/4HANA.
• Current residence in Santo Domingo Oeste or ability to relocate; onsite work required.
