Infield Mentor – Missionary Training (Dominican Republic)

About the role

The Infield Mentor supports missionaries in the Dominican Republic by delivering gospel instruction, language training, and missionary skill development. This entry‑level individual contributor works alongside other teachers to help missionaries prepare for service and continue their growth after the Missionary Training Center (MTC).

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one coaching, small‑group facilitation, and large‑group workshops following an approved curriculum.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in coordination with a companion teacher.
• Guide missionaries in tracking their learning progress and implementing feedback from senior trainers.
• Attend weekly training meetings and co‑teacher sessions.
• Assist area and mission leadership with coordination and reporting.
• Coach missionaries during practice and live lessons, and role‑play as a non‑member when needed.
• Help assess language proficiency of missionaries and teacher applicants.
• Support temporary duties at the MTC, such as the Mission Leadership Seminar.

Required profile

• Returned missionary with a strong testimony of the restored gospel.
• Fluency in English and the specified second language (for language‑focused positions).
• Outstanding coaching, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of the “Preach My Gospel” curriculum.
• Self‑motivated, professional, and able to receive and apply feedback.
• Understanding of effective language‑learning strategies (for language‑teaching roles).
