Fullstack Software Engineer

About the role

Babel is looking for a Fullstack Software Engineer to join its multinational consulting team. You will design, implement and maintain web applications that integrate with ERP systems, working on both frontend and backend components.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java‑based backend services using Spring Boot, Quarkus and related frameworks.
• Design, build and optimise responsive user interfaces with React.js, Next.js and TypeScript.
• Create and document RESTful APIs and micro‑service architectures.
• Implement data persistence with PostgreSQL, Oracle or SQL Server and caching/message queues such as Redis, Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud environments (AWS or Azure).
• Ensure code quality through testing (Jest, React Testing Library), code reviews and static analysis tools.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in full‑stack development.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, multicultural environment.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying up‑to‑date with modern technologies.

Required skills

• Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA/Hibernate, Quarkus.
• REST API design, micro‑services, SOLID principles, design patterns.
• React.js, Next.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, React Hooks, Context API, Redux, React Query/TanStack Query.
• HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, performance optimisation, component reuse.
• PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ.
• Docker, Kubernetes, AWS or Azure, CI/CD, Git/GitHub, SonarQube, logging and monitoring.
