About the role

The company seeks an Accounting Manager to lead the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial recording, compliance with accounting and tax regulations, and timely reporting to management and regulatory bodies.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, direct, coordinate and supervise all accounting activities.
• Guarantee correct recording of all company transactions.
• Supervise the Accounting Analyst and allocate departmental tasks.
• Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Dominican tax authority (DGII) regulations.
• Oversee monthly and annual financial statement preparation and presentation.
• Prepare tax filings and manage cash flow, bank reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and maintain organized physical and digital records.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and safeguard financial confidentiality.

Required profile

• Minimum two (2) years of accounting experience in the construction sector.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, DGII tax regulations and local accounting standards.
• Ability to lead a team and manage multiple financial reporting cycles.
• Up‑to‑date with changes in tax, labor and accounting legislation.
