Director/a Médico

About the role

The Medical Director will plan, coordinate and lead the medical management of the institution, ensuring high standards of care quality, patient safety and compliance with good medical practices. This senior position is responsible for overseeing the medical staff, driving clinical standardization, and promoting continuous improvement and innovation in health services.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise compliance with medical and assistance quality standards.
• Implement and promote clinical protocols and best medical practices.
• Monitor quality and patient safety indicators and develop improvement actions.
• Lead the integration and collaboration of medical professionals.
• Participate in recruitment, selection and performance evaluation of medical staff.
• Ensure ethical principles are applied in medical practice and manage clinical risk situations.
• Coordinate communication between the medical area and other institutional departments.
• Contribute to strategic objectives related to medical management and sustainability.
• Promote technological modernization, use of information tools for decision‑making, and innovation projects.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD) with specialization in Health Center Administration, Hospital Management, or related fields.
• Post‑graduate training in Hospital Management, Health Quality, or similar areas is valued.
• Proven experience in senior medical management or director roles within health institutions.
• Experience leading teams of medical professionals and managing clinical quality.
