Director of Security, Risk & Compliance

About the role

GBS International, Inc. is seeking a seasoned security executive to shape and execute its enterprise-wide security strategy. Reporting to senior leadership, the Director will protect critical assets, ensure regulatory compliance, and support business growth through effective risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the organization’s enterprise security strategy.
• Lead cybersecurity operations, including incident response, vulnerability management, threat detection, and security monitoring.
• Establish governance frameworks, security policies, standards, and enterprise risk management practices.
• Oversee compliance with regulations, industry frameworks, contractual obligations, and client security requirements.
• Manage internal and external audits, physical security programs, third‑party risk, and vendor security.
• Direct Business Continuity Planning, Disaster Recovery, and Incident Response Planning.
• Lead penetration testing, security assessments, and secure software development lifecycle initiatives.
• Partner with Engineering and DevOps to embed security‑by‑design across cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Drive adoption of AI‑enabled security technologies and responsible AI governance.
• Collaborate with HR on workforce security, insider risk, and security awareness.
• Communicate security risks and performance to executive leadership and manage security budgets, KPIs, and KRIs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Risk Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, information security, governance, risk, compliance, or enterprise security.
