LLM Engineer – Remote (Latin America & South Africa)

About the role

Blacksmith Agency is building an AI automation layer into every part of how we work. As an LLM Engineer you own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This is a builder role, not a research role, focusing on production systems rather than training models.

Key responsibilities

• Build agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent frameworks.
• Integrate with Anthropic and OpenAI APIs, including tool use and function calling.
• Develop internal tools to reduce manual hours across design and development processes.
• Create automation pipelines connecting WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace and the internal CMS.
• Implement MCP server integrations as part of the broader AI stack.

Required profile

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands‑on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.
• English sufficient for async written work with a US‑based team.
