Deputy Hotel Manager - Bávaro

About the role

Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts is looking for a Deputy Hotel Manager to support the overall management and operational performance of one of its hotels in Bávaro. The role ensures service excellence, guest satisfaction, operational efficiency and compliance with brand standards, while fostering a high-performance culture focused on results, teamwork and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, monitor and ensure compliance with hotel policies, standards and operational procedures
• Support the Hotel Manager in leadership and strategic direction of the property
• Supervise and coordinate Department Managers to deliver operational excellence across all areas
• Monitor guest satisfaction indicators such as ReviewPro, CScore and NPS, and implement corrective actions
• Act as a key point of contact for guest relations and handle complex situations
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance plans
• Support HR policies, employee engagement, talent development and labour law compliance
• Take part in internal and external audits
• Manage operational budgets and contribute to revenue, cost and productivity targets
• Promote sustainability, health and safety standards and service quality certifications

Required profile

• University degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration or a related field; postgraduate studies or a Master's in Hotel/Hospitality Management highly valued
• At least 3 years as Deputy Hotel Manager in international hotels, preferably all-inclusive resorts with more than 700 rooms, or at least 1 year as Hotel Manager
• Experience in Caribbean destinations and with international hotel chains, ideally multi-property, highly preferred
• Experience managing teams of 500+ employees
• Fluent Spanish and English; a third language is an asset

Required skills

• Solid budget management experience (costs, expenses, labour, utilities, revenue)
• Knowledge of hotel operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Kitchen, Entertainment, Spa, Maintenance, Security, Health & Safety and Sustainability
• Experience with quality, sustainability, health, safety and food hygiene certifications is highly valued
• Proficiency in hotel management systems and Microsoft Office
