Customer Service Representative - Part Time

About the role

United is hiring a part-time Customer Service Representative to act as the face of the airline at the airport. You will interact with domestic and international customers in the lobbies and at the gates, helping them with ticketing and baggage and resolving travel issues with friendly, professional service. The position is offered on local terms and conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and direct incoming calls, greet and advise customers, tag and handle baggage
• Prepare tickets, determine fares and route passengers so their travel needs are met
• Interact with customers in a kind and helpful way to build loyalty
• Anticipate customer needs and take responsibility when a customer has been inconvenienced
• Work every day with a safety mentality and uphold high standards

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent; at least 18 years old
• Excellent interpersonal skills with English and Spanish
• Physically able to stand and walk for an entire shift and to lift and handle baggage
• Able to travel to other countries for training
• Able to work any shift in a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week operation, including late nights, early hours, weekends and holidays
• Legally authorized to work in the Dominican Republic without sponsorship; a valid US visa is preferred
• Meets attendance, uniform and appearance standards

Preferred qualifications

• Previous airline, travel or hospitality experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Valid passport and US visa
