Accountant II – Financial Reporting & Cost Accounting

About the role

The Accountant II will independently maintain and analyze the company’s accounting and cost accounting systems while collaborating with management. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, supports cost analysis, and provides timely insights to functional areas.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare consolidated financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss, and subsidiary statements.
• Review and analyze general ledger balances, verify accuracy, and recommend corrections.
• Perform monthly reconciliations, balance sheet updates, and cost accounting entries.
• Analyze financial transactions, costing issues, PPV, and margin data.
• Generate forecasts, workcell statements, and margin analyses.
• Collect and report inventory data, cost of goods sold, and product cost variances.
• Collaborate with Materials Departments to ensure accurate product costing and support audit activities.
• Train employees across departments on accounting processes and systems.

Required profile

• Ability to present information clearly to managers and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
• Proficiency with Windows‑based PC environments and standard office software.
• Basic written communication skills for simple correspondence.
• Numerical competence for calculations, ratios, percentages, and graph interpretation.
