Abogado/a Litigante – Área Civil

About the role

Cabinet Legal is seeking a qualified Litigation Attorney specialized in Civil Law to join its team in Santo Domingo. The successful candidate will manage civil cases from filing through trial, representing clients before Dominican courts.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file civil complaints, defenses, motions, appeals and other procedural documents.
• Conduct hearings, attend court appearances and manage all procedural steps.
• Develop and implement litigation strategies tailored to each case.
• Maintain accurate case files, monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with procedural rules.
• Advise clients on civil liability, contractual disputes, debt recovery, real‑estate conflicts and enforcement measures.

Required profile

• Law degree with a valid Dominican bar license (exequatur).
• Proven experience in civil litigation and civil procedural law.
• Strong analytical and argumentative abilities with excellent legal writing skills.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and capable of handling multiple cases simultaneously.
